Project Description
Musical Theatre
Step into the spotlight at the historic Forum Theatre in Romiley, Stockport, with our exciting Musical Theatre classes for young people. Held on the very stage that has hosted countless community and professional performances, these classes offer a unique opportunity for aspiring performers to learn and grow in a real working theatre environment.
Combining acting, singing, and dancing, our sessions are designed to help young people develop key stage skills while having fun and building confidence. Each week, students explore a range of musical theatre material—from timeless classics to modern hits—learning how to interpret scripts, perform choreography, and express character through voice and movement.
Classes are energetic and inclusive, encouraging teamwork, creativity, and personal growth. Students have the opportunity to take part in MT Showcases and full length musicals at The Forum, whilst also featuring in several external events throughout the year, giving them valuable experience on stage and a real sense of achievement.
Participants will gain skills in:
Singing technique and vocal projection
Acting, characterisation, and stagecraft
Dance and movement for theatre
Ensemble work, Empathy for others and confidence building
Performing live in a theatre setting
Whether your child dreams of the West End or just wants to try something new, our Musical Theatre classes at The Forum Theatre are the perfect way to learn, grow, and perform.
