Andy Joined NK at the age of 11yrs when we were based in Tameside. He played many roles with us, including The Rum Tum Tugger from Cats, before joining the TV series ‘Cutting It’ and following year the cast of ‘Hollyoaks’ where he was a popular regular for 8 yrs. Andy formed lifelong friendships at NK and we were all delighted when he was announced as the leading man in the touring production of the musical ‘Ghost’.

Brennan Joined NK at the tender age of 7 and straight away landed the part of the son in extract from ‘Miss Saigon’ performed for The Duke Of Devonshire and friends at Chatsworth House. Brennan played many notable parts for the company including ‘Puck’ at The Lowry and the title roll in our first ever production her at The Forum ‘The Wiz’. Now a talented stand-up comedian, Brennan was crowned comedian of the year 2016 and enjoys regular national and international tours and various TV appearances including Live at The Apollo and Coach Trip.

Musician, Radio and Television comedian, creator of the fictional Northern family ‘The Bradshaws’. Still a popular stage show ‘The Bradshaws’ became popular on radio stations up and down the country and are now the subject of a Radio Four documentary. Buzz who has been involved with, and a supporter of NK for over 25 years is currently writing a novel and drama series and becoming more involved in film directing and song writing.

Hazel joins us a new Patron in 2021 alongside her showbiz hubby Tommy Cannon. Hazel is a retired professional dancer, having performed with the famous Bluebell Girls in Paris, the amazing Tiller Girls at The London Palladium and many regular TV appearances’. Dance has always been a huge driving force and passion in Hazel’s life. She is overjoyed to become one of our patrons.

Ask anyone to sum up James in couple of words and it would be “He’s Lovely”. A very popular member of NK remembered for taking the lead role in our own musical version of ‘The Magic Faraway Tree’. Accomplished singer, dancer and actor, James is enjoying life as a professional performer and qualified teacher of technical singing, voice and musical theatre. His most recent performance was in the West End’s version of “School of Rock”.

Kerry joined NK when she was 14 years old. Her first performance with the company was dancing in the NSPCC charity gala at The Palace Theatre, Manchester, headlined by Cannon & Ball. During her time with us she played many roles including Hippolyta in ‘A Midsummer Summer Nights Dream’ at The Lowry and The Temptress in ‘Mary’ at Tameside Hippodrome plus performing in several Theatre In Education programmes. Since then, her credits include ITV drama ‘Butterfly’, SKY’s hit series ‘Bulletproof’ as well as recurring roles in ‘Casualty’, ‘Hollyoaks’ and ‘Coronation Street’.

Matt has been associated with NK since it’s inception in 1998 when as a small boy he came to see many of our early productions. He first worked with the company whilst a student at LIPA creating the music for two adaptations of Enid Blyton’s ‘The Magic Faraway Tree’ and in the year 2000 writing the music for NK’s production of ‘Mary’. Matt is currently Musical Director at The Noel Coward Theatre for ‘Dear Evan Hansen’ having previously worked on West End Shows ‘School Of Rock’ and Carol King’s ‘Beautiful’.

Casting director for TV and the film industry, Sophie was the youngest member ever to join NK. When just turned 4 she was so tiny she was likened to a little dot. Sophie was the featured ending shot of the first NK promotional video ‘Together’. She also has remained a firm friend of the company and offers training to our senior classes in Television and Performance Technique.

Tommy Cannon joins us as a new patron in 2021 following on in his late partners footsteps of Bobby Ball who had been a long-standing Patron of The Company. An English comedian and actor, Tommy is best known for being one half of the famous comedy double act “Cannon and Ball” who shot to stardom in the 80’s and continued to have success until Bobby’s untimely death in 2020. Tommy is very excited and honoured to become a new patron to NK Theatre Arts and encourages members to “Rock on” always .

Stockport born and bred actor Will shares a close affinity with NK as it was on The Forum Theatre’s stage that Will made his debut as a dancing duck at the age of 4. He gained fame as a child actor in TV series ‘Children’s Ward’ and since then appeared in many popular TV programmes most recently the evil gangster ‘Harvey Gaskell’ on the cobbles of Coronation Street and is also recognised as an accomplished singer. Will is a popular visitor and guest speaker at NK.
