Kerry Day - Artistic Director

Kerry was the founder of Northern Kids Theatre Company back in 1988 and is has overseen its transition to NK Theatre Arts.

Kerry is responsible for all of the artistic elements of the company, overseeing all of the performances undertaken by her team of show directors.  
Kerry also writes all of the Theatre in Education scripts which has become a crucial part of the work of the Company.

Darren Stannage - Company Manager

Darren is responsible for all of the administrative duties involving the day to day running of NK Theatre Arts.  

Darren acts as the prime link between the Board of Trustees and the Management Team and handles finances, contracts, grant applications and funding, website, e-marketing and reports to the Charity Commission on an annual basis.

Dawn Wrigley - Workshops and TIE Coordinator

Dawn is responsible for the organisation and running of the Weekly Workshops that take place at The Forum Theatre.

She ensures all of the classes run safely with the appropriate number of tutors, all of whom will be DBS Checked.

Dawn acts as link with the parents and is the first port of call with our members and she ensures that the wellbeing of all of our children, young people and adults are of paramount importance.

Dawn also leads our Theatre in Education team, casting and rehearsing our plays as well as various elements of project delivery including directly teaching in various schools and youth centres on behalf of the Company.

Dominic Stannage - Production Coordinator

Dominic is responsible for the smooth running of all of the Productions and Events that are undertaken by NK Theatre Arts at The Forum Theatre and at other external venues.

This will include holding production meetings with a team of volunteers to ensure smooth running of events.  

Dominic will produce the posters for the shows and ensures that any relevant rehearsal material, set, props or costumes are provided and all technical elements of the productions are organised.

Clare Woolleson - Events Coordinator

Clare runs all of the Front of House elements of the events that take place at The Forum Theatre,

Clare's duties include liaising with the many hirers which use the Forum Theatre.  She manages the Bar and Front of House team.

Clare will also handle the PRS Returns and is one of our appointed First Aiders.

Hannah Gorst - Performing Arts Practitioner

Hannah is a key member of the Performing Arts team at NK Theatre Arts.

Hannah runs the Saturday Dance Classes and will also Direct production and teach in schools, undertaking Dance, Drama and Music sessions as well as performing in our Theatre in Education projects.

Hannah will also teach on a Monday and Tuesday night during the theatre workshop sessions.

Terry Halliday - Site Manager

Terry will ensure that The Forum Theatre is prepared on a daily basis for the various uses of the venue.

This will include laying out the auditorium for shows and events and ensure all of the Studios are prepared for our Workshops and Rehearsals.

Terry deals with the cleaning and Health and Safety and Security of the building premises and oversees any improvements to the facilities.

Diane Wilson - Office Secretary

Diane has been with NK for many years and runs the Box Office from Monday - Wednesday.

Diane handles all of the day to day administration involved in the running of the Charity.  

She is often the first point of contact with parents on any administration related subjects.  Diane will handle Staff DBS and First Aid responsibilities for the Charity.

Stuart Dean - Head Technician

Stuart heads the team of technicians at The Forum Theatre.

This includes the preparation and operation of all of the technical elements for the productions and events hosted at our venue.

Stuart and his team strive to ensure that all of the lighting and sound for the performances are of the highest quality.

Jackie Dootson - Business Development

Jackie joined the NK team as a volunteer in 2014 and is helping to play a key part in the development of the business aspects of the Charity.

This includes developing Marketing plans and helping to recruit local businesses support the ongoing work of our Charity through the inception of the NK "1000 Club"

Jake Martin - Tutor / Director

Jake is a key member of the artistic team as he directs many of the productions undertaken by the NK Performance Class.

His primary role however is running the Adult Access Class for young adults with additional needs on a Monday evening.

James Dooley - Technician

James is one of the key members of the NK tech team.  Working on both internal and external performances he will assist with the rigging and operation of sound and lighting for our events.

When not volunteering for NK, James is often engaged on major concerts and festivals at some of the UK's biggest venues.

David Jarvis - Technician

David has been a member of the NK tech team for many years.  Beginning as a volunteer before becoming an apprentice with the Charity, David is now a crucial part of The Forum Theatre Tech Team.
